Scholarship Funds

The Marty Oxenburg Scholarship was established in 2007 by the Flying Tigers 69th DRS Association, Inc.  Marty Oxenburg has dedicated much of his life to preserving and communicating the history of the Flying Tigers 69th Depot Repair Squadron and in reaching out to his fellow veterans.  This scholarship commemorates and honors his longstanding commitment and service, by providing awards to students with a scholarly interest in the WWII China-Burma-India (CBI) theatre and a personal connection to the Flying Tigers.  The Marty Oxenburg Scholarship is supported in its entirety through donations.

The Doris van Tanner Tursky Endowment Scholarship was established by Henry (Hank) Tursky in 2009 to honor the life and memory of his beloved spouse.  This commemorative endowment is dedicated to funding scholarship awards to individuals who will work to (i) perpetuate the heritage, values and traditions of those who served in the 14th Air Force during World War II, including the 69th Depot Repair Squadron and (ii) educate the public regarding the history of the 14th Air Force, including the 69th Depot Repair Squadron.
